Rich Clean Guy

Rich Clean Guy

(Revision Success Story)

Take someone and lift them up!

I live in Hollywood, CA where the homelessness problem is completely out of hand (although I’ve been imagining otherwise).

There has been a homeless guy I would see all the time, he was the filthiest, nastiest dude I’ve ever seen in my life. I’d see him all the time, wearing no clothes except brown pants and a super dirty brown blanket that he wore as a cape. No shirt, no shoes, just looking nasty. He was dirty from head to toe, he had an inch of dirt on his skin, and his hair was a giant dreadlock from never being washed. Sometimes I’d see him eating out of dumpsters. It was so bad. This was around when I was really testing what I learned from Neville all the time.

So one day last year I decided to do something about it. First I decided this guy wasn’t going to be the dirty homeless guy anymore, I decided to rename him in my mind “RICH CLEAN” because I decided to imagine him "Rich and Clean."

I took a picture of him one day (almost exactly a year ago) when he was walking ahead of me on the street . When I got home I “photoshop revised” the picture of him to be wearing a white suit, and I put a white limo in the picture like he just stepped out of it, implying he was “rich and clean.”

For the next year I’d still see him sitting on the street or by the highway, filthier than ever, eating rotten Watermelons and just looking crazy, but I’d still say “hey there’s Rich Clean!”

The day I did the photoshop revision was Oct 18, 2019.

Today, Oct 30, 2020, almost exactly one year later, I saw Rich Clean for the first time in a few months.

This morning I took a walk up to the roof of my apartment building because it was a nice morning, and was just enjoying the weather, when I looked down at the street. I nearly crapped my pants, and my jaw dropped to the ground when I saw Rich Clean walking by, looking, well, RICH AND CLEAN!! (See Photos)

He had clearly showered, and was even wearing decent clothes, a polo shirt, shirt, shoes, and clean socks. It was clearly the same guy, except he was clean, even his hair was clean! He kept playing with it like he wasn’t used to having clean hair. I was completely shocked and amazed!!!

I took a photo, which is below. I even realized the photo I had taken had a white car in it like the picture with him and the white limo I had revised.

Thought this was too good not to share and as a gentle reminder to take someone and LIFT THEM UP!!!
and Revise EVERYTHING!

Peace

The Boys down at the Stable (From the files of Bob Proctor)

The Boys down at the Stable
(From the files of Bob Proctor)

Many years ago a young lady who was attending a seminar shared an interesting story with me. Apparently she and two or three of her girlfriends went and tried out for a place in a stage play. She got the starring role while her girlfriends were not even picked for the supporting cast. Opening night she said she was really excited but afterwards became very disappointed when her girlfriends never came out and supported her. She was explaining the situation to an elderly friend of her fathers named Hap. He wrote her a letter and she gave me a copy with her permission to share it with others. Read it carefully and think.

Dear Ann,

Once upon a time there was a fellow by the name of Al Capp who wrote a comic strip called "L'll Abner." Many years ago he had some characters in his strip who lived in a town near Dogpatch. They were the town bums, the n'er do wells, the failures whose whole aim in life was to pass judgement on others. Their criticism and ridicule became so vehement that in time the rest of the people in the town became acutely conscious of it. "The boys down at the stable," as they were called because that's where they spent most of their time, soon set the social standards of the town. Nobody could do anything without their sanction.

Because they lived within the structure of their crummy little world, they would laugh and point their fingers at anyone and everyone who tried to be better than they were. As a result the people feared the ridicule of the boys down at the stable so much that they stopped trying. Soon everybody became bums and the town died.
In every social structure, Ann, whether it be family, town, county or state, there are "The boys down at the stable." They are the jealous ones. They are too scared to try something different. They show their ignorance by laughing at those who do. Learn to recognize them Ann, for what they are. Don't let them hurt you. It takes a certain amount of toughness to succeed. One has to rise above those who would tear you down so that they can laugh and say, "I told you so!"

There are too many of us who love you and want you to make it. I could put myself at the top of the list. You aren't going to fall flat on your face as they would have you. You are going to do a superb job. Remember this show is only a small step in the direction of greater things you will do, many of which are beyond your wildest dreams. All you have to do is want to. One of the things I like about you best is that you always give it hell for try.
The show will be a success because of you and others like you who try. There are only winners in the cast. The losers are gathered down at the stable laughing and hoping for your failure. If we could dig down deep inside them, I'm sure we'd find they want to win also, but are too scared to try, and they attempt to cover up their own failures as human beings by laughing at others. In a sense I'm sorry for them. Their guilt must make them very unhappy people.

Much love,
Hap

My Comments- BEST WAY TO RECOGNIZE THAT YOU ARE RISING IN LIFE IS WHEN WORLD STARTS CRITICIZING OR NEGATIVELY TALKING ABOUT YOU.

I Can See Clearly

I Can See Clearly

I had been wearing reading glasses for about three years before I
discovered The Law of Attraction. One night as I was tracing the knowledge of
The Law of Attraction back through the centuries, I found myself reaching for
my glasses to see what I was reading. And I stopped in my tracks.
The realization of what I had done struck me like a lightning bolt.
I had listened to society's message that eyesight diminishes with
age. I had watched people stretch their arms out so that they could
read something. I had given my thought to eyesight diminishing
with age, and I had brought it to me. I hadn't done it deliberately
but I had done it. I knew that what I had brought into being with
thoughts I could change, so I immediately imagined myself seeing
as clearly as when I was twenty-one years old. I saw myself in dark
restaurants, on planes, and at my computer, reading clearly and
effortlessly And I said over and over, "I can see clearly, I can see
clearly." I felt the feelings of gratitude and excitement for having
clear vision. In three days my eyesight had been restored, and I
now do not own reading glasses. I can see clearly.

Your Mind Can Keep You Well

Your Mind Can Keep You Well

-The Simonton process of visualization for cancer

Dr. Carl Simonton, a radiation cancer specialist, and his wife, Stephanie Matthews-Simonton, a psychotherapist and counselor specializing in cancer patients, have developed a special visualization or imaging technique for the treatment of cancer which is now popularly known as the Simonton process. Ridiculed at first by the medical profession, the Simonton process is now being used in at least five hospitals across the United States to fight cancer.

The technique itself is the height of simplicity and utilizes the tremendous powers of the mind, specifically its faculty for visualization and imagination, to control cancer. First, the patient is shown what a normal healthy cell looks like. Next, he is asked to imagine a battle going on between the cancer cell and the normal cell. He is asked to visualize a concrete image that will represent the cancer cell and another image of the normal cell. Then he is asked to see the normal cell winning the battle against the cancer cell.

One youngster represented the normal cell as the video game character Pacman and the cancer cell as the “ghosts” (enemies of Pacman), and then he saw Pacman eating up the ghosts until they were all gone.

A housewife saw her cancer cell as dirt and the normal cell as a vacuum cleaner. She visualized the vacuum cleaner swallowing up all the dirt until everything was smooth and clean.

Patients are asked to do this type of visualization three times a day for 15 minutes each time. And the results of the initial experiments in visualization to cure cancer were nothing short of miraculous. Of course, being medical practitioners, Dr. Simonton and his psychologist wife were aware of the placebo effect and spontaneous remission of illness. As long as they were getting good results with the technique, it didn’t seem to matter whether it was placebo or spontaneous remission.

The Simontons also noticed that those who got cured had a distinct personality. They all had a strong will to live and did everything to get well. Those who didn’t succeed had resigned themselves to their fate.

While the Simontons were exploring the motivation of cancer patients, they were also looking into two interesting areas of research at that time: biofeedback and the surveillance theory. Both areas had something to do with the influence of the mind over body processes. Stephanie Simonton explains in her book The Healing Family:

In biofeedback training, an individual is hooked up to a device that feeds back information on his physiological processes. A patient with tachycardia, an irregular heartbeat, might be hooked up to an oscilloscope, which will give a constant visual readout of the heartbeat. The patient watches the monitor while attempting to relax…when he succeeds in slowing his heartbeat through his thinking, he is rewarded immediately by seeing that fact on visual display.

The surveillance theory holds that the immune system does in fact produce ‘killer cells’ which seek out and destroy stray cancer cells many times in our lives, and it is when this system breaks down, that the disease can take hold. When most patients are diagnosed with cancer, surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy are used to destroy as much of the tumor as possible. But once the cancer is reduced, we wondered if the immune system could be reactivated to seek out and destroy the remaining cancer cells.

The Simontons reasoned that since people can learn how to influence their blood flow and heart rate by using their minds, they could also learn to influence their immune system. Later research proved their approach to be valid.

For instance, according to the Time-Life Book The Power of Healing, “chronic stress causes the brain to release into the body a host of hormones that are potent inhibitors of the immune system”. “This may explain why people experience increased rates of infection, cancer, arthritis, and many other ailments after losing a spouse.” Dr. R.W. Berthop and his associates in Australia found that blood samples of bereaved individuals showed a much lower level of lymphocyte activity than was present in the control group’s samples. Lymphocytes are a variety of white blood cells consisting of T cells and B cells, both critical to the action of the immune system. T cells directly attack disease-causing bacteria, viruses, and toxins, and regulate the other parts of the immune system. B cells produce antibodies, which neutralize invaders or mark them for destruction by other agents of the immune system.

The Power of Healing concludes: “The idea that there is a mental element to healing has gained acceptance within the medical establishment in recent years. Many physicians who once discounted the mind’s ability to influence healing are now reconsidering, in the light of new scientific evidence. All these have led some physicians and medical institutions toward a more holistic approach, to treating the body and mind as a unit rather than as two distinct entities. Inherent in this philosophy is the belief that patients must be active participants in the treatment of their illnesses.

Using visualization for minor ailments

Creative visualization can create the same physiological changes in the body that a real experience can. For example, if you imagine squeezing a lemon into you mouth, you will most likely salivate, the same way as when a real lemon is actually being squeezed into your mouth. Einstein once declared that, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

In the 1985 World Conference on Imaging, reports OMNI magazine (February 1989), registered nurse Carol Fajoni observed that “people who used imagery techniques to heal wounds recovered more quickly than those who did not. In workshops, the same technique has been used by individuals suffering from colds with similar results.” The process has been hailed as a positive breakthrough and is currently being used by more enlightened doctors, according to OMNI magazine.

Visualize that part of your body which is causing the problem. Then erase the negative image and instead picture that organ or part to be healthy. Let's say you have a sinus infection. Just picture your sinus passageways and cavities as beginning to unclog. Or if you have a kidney disorder, imagine a sick-looking kidney metamorphose into a healthier one.

“In trying to envision yourself healthy, you need not view realistic representations of the ailing body part. Instead, imagine a virus as tiny spots on a blackboard that need erasing. Imagine yourself building new, healthy cells or sending cleaning blood to an unhealthy organ or area.”

“If you have a headache, picture your brain as a rough, bumpy road that needs smoothing and proceed to smooth it out. The point is to focus on the area you believe is causing you to feel sick, and to concentrate on visualizing or imaging it to be well. The more clearly and vividly you can do this, the more effective the technique becomes.”

Another method for banishing pain was developed by Russian memory expert, Solomon V. Sherehevskii, as reported by Russian psychologist Professor Luria. To banish pain, such as a headache, Sherehevskii would visualize the pain as having an actual shape, mass and color. Then, when he had a “tangible” image of the pain in his mind, he would visualize or imagine this concrete picture slowly becoming smaller and smaller until it disappeared from his mental vision. The real pain disappears with it. Others have modified this same technique and suggest that you imagine a big bird or eagle taking the concrete image of the pain away. As it flies over the horizon, see it becoming smaller until it disappears from your view. The actual pain will disappear with it.

Of course, the effectiveness of this imaging technique depends on the strength of your desire to improve your health and your ability to visualize well. But there is no harm in trying it, because unlike drugs, creative visualization has no side effects.

Practice any of these visualization techniques three times a day for one week and observe your health improve.

Blind Faith of a Saint

Blind Faith of a Saint

This is the true story of 19th Century Saint Karam Singh who spent his life as Divine Saint and this story expresses a faith is such a great thing. Please read below:

Saint Karam Singh was Havaldar (Soldier) in British Army (That time India was a colony of Great Britain). Saint was very regular with his Nitnem (Recitation of 5 Lessons in a Day in Sikh Religion). His mind never wandered while reciting Gurbani, doing Seva or Simran. One evening as he was about to start reciting Rehraas Sahib, he thought of sitting at a quiet place so that he could fully enjoy the recitation of Gurbani. Wearing simple clothes, he sat down in solitude and started the recitation of Rehraas Sahib. During the recitation, he started repeating a particular line of Gurbani with great love. This line was from Guru Ram Das Ji’s Gurbani (written in Holy Book of Sikhs, Guru Granth Sahib).

(Your devotees, Your devotees praise You, Dear Lord, in many and various and countless ways.)

While repeating this line of Gurbani, he went into a state of Samadhi. His duty hours steadily started passing by. Subedar Ahmed Rehman used to be extremely jealous of the exalted status granted to Saint. He used to continuously approach officers and lodge complaints against Sant Karam Singh. The officers though paid scant regard to his complaints. One day while he was on a round, he saw that Havaldar Saint Karam Singh was not on his duty. The Subedar thought, that this was a good opportunity and since the officer in charge that day was a British officer, he could show to him that Saint Karam Singh was absent from duty and as a result all his previous complaints would also be upheld. Additionally, he thought this was a great opportunity to reduce the esteem that Saint Karam Singh was held in. As he was about to go to the officer, he thought it would be pertinent to just doubly confirm that Saint was indeed not around. As he was looking around, he saw a Sikh sitting in solitude. On going near, he recognized the Sikh to be Saint Karam Singh who was now in a state of total Samadhi (Deep Meditation). The Subedar, then quickly went to the officer and brought him to the place where Saint was supposed to be on duty and to the great surprise of the Subedar, Saint was there and He quickly and smartly saluted them. The Havaldar was standing at his duty spot, fully alert!! The officer was very happy to see Saint there and asked him a few questions to which he got the right answers. Just for his own satisfaction, the Subedar then again went to the place where Saint was sitting in Samadhi (Meditation) and to his greatest astonishment, Saint was right there, still in a state of Samadhi (Meditation). The Subedar again rushed to the British officer and after saluting him said “Sir, Saint is sitting in a state of Samadhi (Meditation)”. The officer said “Subedar, has the fear of punishment taken over you as a result of which you are seeing two of everything?”. The Subedar said, “I swear by Allah that I am saying the truth. Come and see for yourself”. On the persistence of the Subedar, the British officer went to the place where the Subedar had seen Saint in a state of Samadhi and to his great surprise, he saw Saint there deeply engrossed in a state of Samadhi (Meditation). The officer went back to the place where Saint was on duty and Saint was present there as well. On doing this three times, he was taken aback to see there was not the slightest difference in both of them. The officer then took off his cap, bowed before Saint and said “Subedar , the honor of God’s devotee is always upheld”. The officer went back to his office, amazed by the compassion and kindness shown by the Almighty. When Saint came out of his state of Samadhi (Meditation), he realized that he had been absent from duty for many hours. Even then, he wore his uniform and reported for duty. On completing his duty for the day, he thought that he would go to office the next morning , admit his fault and accept any punishment that would be meted out to him. Engrossed in such thoughts, Saint retired for the night. He woke up next day at Amrit Vela (Early Morning), took bath and completed his Nitnem (Recitation of 5 Lessons in a Day in Sikh Religion).

Saint Karam Singh goes to office and prepares to dedicate his life to the service of the Almighty Saint Karam Singh got ready and reached office. The officer on duty the previous night was narrating the nights events to the people present in the office. All officers and officials were engrossed in thinking about what they had just heard. As soon as Saint entered the office, all of them reverentially stood up and with bowed heads requested Saint to take a seat. Saint said “Sahib Ji (Sir), please listen to me first. I was absent from duty for quite some time last night. So either grant me pardon or punishment as per the rules”. The office on duty said “Punishment for what? You were present at both places. At one place you were on government duty, at the other you were engrossed in God’s service”. The officer showed Saint the register on which he had obtained Saint’s signatures and humbly said that he was present on duty at the said time. When Saint saw the signatures, he realized that they were exactly the same as his own. At that time, Saint resolutely declared that if “My Guru Gobind Singh (Tenth Master of Sikh Religion) can be at the service of his servant, then I will spend the rest of my life meditating on Him”. All the officers said in unison that they would not remove Saint’s names from the rolls of the Army. Saint replied saying that his name had now been written at the feet of the Almighty. No register now contains my name. On hearing this, the officers opened up the registers that contained Saint's name and to their great surprise, the locations that had Saint's name had now gone blank. Event the location on the register on which Sant Ji’s name had been written the previous night had now gone blank. Saint then repeated that now his name had been written at the feet of Guru Maharaj (Almighty). He said that now he would spend his life in the remembrance and singing the praises of the True King. The officers again pleaded that “spend your days in meditation at any place you like but spend the nights with the battalion”. Saint replied that he would spend as much time as he could with the battalion but he would not promise anything. Due to the blessings arising as a result of Saint’s meditation, a small seasonal rivulet that flowed a little away from village Bagdade (which was a little distance from Hoti Mardan) now became a little river and became known as the Kalpani river. The water that flowed in the river was very clean and Saint used to sit on the banks of the river and meditate on the Almighty.

MY COMMENTS- Universe helps you in innumerrable miracolous ways. Your work is to maintain blind faith.

Abraham Lincoln Didn’t Quit

Abraham Lincoln Didn’t Quit

Probably the greatest example of persistence is Abraham Lincoln. If you want to learn about somebody who didn’t quit, look no further. Born into poverty, Lincoln was faced with defeat throughout his life. He lost eight elections, twice failed in business and suffered a nervous breakdown. He could have quit many times – but he didn’t and because he didn’t quit, he became one of the greatest presidents in the history of our United States of America.

Lincoln was a champion and he never gave up. Here is a sketch of Lincoln’s road to the White House:
1816 His family was forced out of their home. He had to work to support them.
1818 His mother died.
1831 Failed in business.
1832 Ran for state legislature – lost.
l832 Also lost his job – wanted to go to law school but couldn’t get in.
1833 Borrowed some money from a friend to begin a business and by the end of the year he was bankrupt. He spent the next 17 years of his life paying off this debt.
1834 Ran for state legislature again – won.
1835 Was engaged to be married, sweetheart died and his heart was broken.
1836 Had a total nervous breakdown and was in bed for six months.
1838 Sought to become speaker of the state legislature – defeated.
1840 Sought to become elector – defeated.
1843 Ran for Congress – lost.
1846 Ran for Congress again – this time he won – went to Washington and did a good job.
1848 Ran for re-election to Congress – lost.
1849 Sought the job of land officer in his home state – rejected.
1854 Ran for Senate of the United States – lost.
1856 Sought the Vice-Presidential nomination at his party’s national convention – get less than 100 votes.
1858 Ran for U.S. Senate again – again he lost.
1860 Elected president of the United States.

MY COMMENTS- Probably the best story of persistence. Great motivation for those who feel they are loosing on their manifestations. Universe is working for you. Trust the process.

Ladder of Love

Ladder of Love

LAW OF ATTRACTION IS LAW OF LOVE. POWER OF LOVE CAN MAKE YOU DO ANYTHING. SO HERE IS THE TRUE STORY AND EXAMPLE OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE OF CHINESE COUPLE WHICH I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU ALL.

PLEASE READ:

- A weird love story has come out of China recently and managed to touch the world. It is a story of a man and an older woman who ran off to live and love each other in peace for over half century.

Over 50 years ago, Liu, was a 19 years-old boy, fell in love with a 29 year-old widowed mother named Xu. At the time, it was unacceptable and immoral for a young man to love an older woman. To avoid the market gossips, the couple decided to elope and lived in a cave in Jiangjin County in Southern ChongQing area.

In the beginning, they had nothing, no electricity or even food. They had to eat grass and roots they found in the mountain, and Liu made a kerosene lamp that they used to lighten up their lives.

Starting the second year of living in the mountain, Liu began, and continue for over 50 years, to hand carve the steps so that his wife could get down the mountain easily.

A half century later in 2001, a group of adventures were exploring the forest, they surprisingly found the elderly couple and the over 6,000 stairs of hand carved ladder.

“My parents loved each other so much, they have lived in seclusion for over 50 years and never been apart a single day.” Liu MingSheng, one of their seven children said, “He hand carved more than 6,000 steps over the years for my mother’s convenience, although she doesn’t go down the mountain that much.”

The couple had lived in peace for over 50 years until last week. Liu, now 72 years-old, returned from his daily farm work and collapsed. Xu sat and prayed with her husband as he passed away in her arms.

So in love with Xu, was Liu, that no one was able to release the grip he had on his wife’s hand even after he had passed away.

“You promised me you’ll take care of me, you’ll always be with me until the day I died, now you left before me, how am I going to live without you?” … …

Xu spent days softly repeating this sentence and touching her husband’s black coffin with tears rolling down her cheeks.

In 2006, their story had became one of the top 10 love stories from China, collected by the Chinese Women Weekly. The local government has decided to preserve the love ladder and the place they lived as a museum, so this love story can live forever.

READ THE STORY IN DETAIL

One of the World’s Most Amazing Love Stories Happened on a Mountain in China

BY SHELLEY JIANG ON NOVEMBER 6, 2012

In a country where a man’s marriageability hinges on whether he owns an apartment, and mistresses act as a status symbol for the rich and powerful, it is not surprising that Chinese have become enchanted by a story of love at its purest and most humble. How many people in contemporary China—or anywhere else—would give up everything they have to be with the one they love? More than

50 year ago, Xu Chaoqing (???) and Liu Guojiang (???) chose exactly that.

Were Xu and Liu to meet today, they would face far fewer obstacles. But in 1956, Xu was a widow with four children, while Liu was ten years younger than she. Criticism and gossip drove the couple to escape their village and start a new, arduous life high up in the mountains, in what is now southwestern Chongqing.

Not until 2001 did they come to the world’s attention again. A research team on expedition discovered a series of more than 6,000 steps carved into the steep mountainside. The stairs led the researchers to the couple, wrinkled by time but still very much in love.

These 6,000 steps were Liu’s great work of love: He carved them painstakingly by hand, in an effort spanning decades, so that his wife could safely ascend and descend the mountain. The Ladder of Love has since become well-known throughout China, inspiring television and movie adaptations, even as Xu and Liu maintained their simple mountain life. He called her his “old lady”; he was still her “young man” after all these years.

Liu continued caring for his Ladder of Love until his death in 2007, at the age of 72. Xu passed away on October 30, 2012, bringing to a close a love story that began one day in June of 1942.

First and last love

Liu Guojiang was just six years old then, outside catching crickets when a wedding procession entered his village, a place called Gaotan. Local custom held that it was good luck for children who lost their baby teeth to have a bride touch the inside of their mouth, so gap-toothed Liu approached the palanquin. He was nervous, and bit the bride’s finger. The curtain lifted to reveal a beautiful, sixteen-year old girl staring at him with a trace of anger. “Little rascal, when you grow up, you should find a pretty girl like this!” joked a nearby woman.

Later, when people asked him what kind of wife he wanted, he told them earnestly that he wanted someone like that girl.

That girl was Xu Chaoqing, who had just married into the richest family in Liu’s village. But 10 years later, her husband was dead of meningitis, and she found herself penniless with four children, the youngest just one year old. Indigent, Xu and her children survived on wild mushrooms gathered from the woods. They could not even afford salt to season them. She wove grass sandals to sell, one pair for five pennies.

Liu to the rescue

One evening, Xu went to fetch water from the village river, carrying her youngest child on her back. In the dwindling light, Xu slipped, and they plunged into the river. Liu, who lived nearby, jumped in to save them both.

Liu had been aware of the family’s poverty, but as a stranger, he had been in no place to intervene. Now, he had his chance. After rescuing Xu, Liu helped them with all the heavy chores:

Fetching water, chopping firewood, planting crops.

Three years passed, and Liu’s close relationship with Xu became the target of malicious tongues.

Girls came by to scold Liu, telling him not to waste time with a widow. Xu’s in-laws were not pleased either. One day in 1956, the pressure grew too intense and Xu told Liu to stop his visits. That night, he snuck into her house to propose. The next morning, Liu, Xu, and her children disappeared from Gaotan Village forever.

Mountain life

Xu and Liu started their life in the mountains in an abandoned straw hut. They caught fish, gathered wild vegetables, walnuts, and dates, and ground leaves into flour. Behind their hut, they planted sweet potatoes and corn, though hungry monkeys were always eager for a share of the harvest.

To fend off storms and wild beasts—even tigers—the couple built a sturdier shelter. It took them more than a year to retrieve enough mud and clay from a mountain pass, and another year to fire their own tiles from a homemade kiln.

Xu gave birth to four of Liu’s children high in those mountains with no medical assistance. Her youngest child from her first marriage died, but her remaining seven children—four by Liu, three by Xu’s first husband—grew up and went to school in the world below. The couple occasionally traveled to a village market to sell honey and buy goods. But they remained adamant about continuing their mountain life, even as their children settled down in the outside world.

A tiny, steep trail provided the only link between their hideout and the world below. Though the couple’s trips out into the world were rare, Liu worried about his wife’s safety and began to hand-carve a stairway in the mountain. Over 57 years, he broke 36 steel chisels as he built 6,000 steps. “I was worried for him, but he said, when the stairs are built, it will be easy for me to climb down. But in my life I’ve hardly gone down the mountain at all,” Xu said in a 2006 interview.

Rest in peace?

After their daring retreat from Gaotan Village and from the world, the couple never spent a night apart; now, the two are buried together on the same mountain where the two built their lives. The story should end here, peacefully, with little to disturb their rest but wild creatures.

The local Jiangjin government, however, has other ideas. It has announced that it will spend 2.6 billion RMB (about US$416 million) to turn the area into a scenic attraction. Tourism areas in China, unfortunately, are often synonymous with high admission prices, kickbacks to government officials, mismanagement, environmental degradation, and limited benefit for local residents.

The move, coming so swiftly on the heels of Xu’s passing, has drawn outrage and anger. The term “Ladder of Love” became the most-searched term on November 1 on Baidu, China’s top search engine.

Chinese web users commenting on social media saw in the government’s decision a naked eagerness to profit from the old couple–an insult to the true, unworldly spirit of Liu and Xu’s love.

“Utterly shameless; beasts, don’t destroy the great Ladder of Love. Leave a pure sanctuary for the lovers, let people reflect and muse on this story themselves, and then let them protect it with true love and sentiment,” wrote on Sina Weibo, China’s Twitter. agreed, writing: “This poor old couple, who has worked hard to survive all their lives, will now enrich those who will make a fortune from their love.”

But what ultimately stands out is still the priceless, unadorned love of Xu and Liu–their willingness to brave material discomfort and social condemnation, to give up the world and pursue a shared life together over all obstacles. The outpouring of online sentiment—both angry and maudlin—reveal a desire for a simpler world, where love and wealth are not equated, where love simply means a happy hut in the woods.

“In sophisticated cities the love we see is hypocritical, but the Ladder of Love let us see a love that is pure and true,” mused . “This kind of love cannot be expressed by money, possessions or insincere words. Their love was very simple: To grasp each other’s hand, to grow old together.

The world may be big, but they had only each other in their eyes.”

The Story Of A Generous Business Partner

The Story Of A Generous Business Partner

One day, a very wealthy man was walking on the road. Along the way, he saw a beggar on the sidewalk.

The rich man looks kindly on the beggar and asked, “How did you become a beggar?”

The beggar said, “Sir, I’ve been applying for a job for a year now but haven’t found any. You look like a rich man. Sir, if you’ll give me a job, I’ll stop begging.”

The rich man smiled and said, “I want to help you. But I won’t give you a job. I’ll do something better. I want you to be my business partner. Let’s start a business together.”

The beggar blinked hard. He didn’t understand what the older man was saying. “What do you mean, Sir?”

“I own a rice plantation. You could sell my rice in the market. I’ll provide you the sacks of rice. I’ll pay the rent for the market stall. I’ll even give you food allowance everyday for the next 30 days. All you’ll have to do is sell my rice. And at the end of the month, as Business Partners, we’ll share in the profits.”

Tears of joy rolled down his cheeks. “Oh Sir,” he said, “you’re a gift from Heaven. You’re the answer to my prayers. Thank you, thank you, thank you!” He then paused and said, “Sir, how will we divide the profits? Do I keep 10% and you get the 90%? Do I keep 5% and you get the 95%? I’ll be happy with any arrangement.”

The rich man shook his head and chuckled. “No, I want you to give me the 10%. And you keep the 90%.”

For a moment, the beggar couldn’t speak. When he tried to speak, it was gibberish. “Uh, gee, uh, wow, I mean, huh?” He couldn’t believe his ears. The deal was too preposterous.

The rich man laughed more loudly. He explained, “I don’t need the money, my friend. I’m already wealthy beyond what you can ever imagine. I want you to give me 10% of your profits so you grow in faithfulness and gratitude.”

The beggar knelt down before his benefactor and said, “Yes Sir, I will do as you say. Even now, I’m so grateful for what you’ve done for me!”

And so that was what happened…

He Forgets Where The Blessings Came From

Each day, the beggar—now dressed a little bit better—operated a store selling rice in the market. He worked very hard. He woke up early in the morning and slept late at night. And sales were brisk, also because the rice was of good quality. And after 30 days, the profits were astounding.

At the end of the month, as the ex-beggar was counting the money, and liking very much the feeling of money in his hands, an idea grew in his mind. He told himself, “Gee, why should I give 10% to my Business Partner? I didn’t see him the whole month! I was the one who was working day and night for this business. I did all this work! I deserve the 100% profits!”

A few minutes later, the rich man was knocking on the door to collect his 10% of the profits. The ex-beggar opened the door and said, “You don’t deserve the 10%. I worked hard for this. I deserve all of it!” And he slammed the door.

If you were his Business Partner, how would you feel?

Friend, this is exactly what happens to us…

God Gave You Everything

I’ve got an announcement to make: God is your Business Partner. And your Business Partner gave you everything.

God gave you your life—every single moment, every single breath, every single second… God gave your talents—your ability to talk, to create, to earn money… God gave you your body—your eyes, your ears, your mouth, your hands, your feet, your heart… God gave you your mind—your imagination, your emotions, your reasoning, your language…

In the Old Testament, your Divine Business Partner only asks that you give 10% of your profits.

But I’ve noticed that many don’t want to tithe. Because they feel they own everything they earn.

Big mistake.

My Comments- Tithing is important for all. People have big misconception that they think if we do not have anything, how would we be able to give away money to the poor. Here is the point, you have to give money first, then eventually it will multiply and come to you from many resources. I will take an example of Rhonda Byrne here, where she writes her experience of shortage of money she faced while making Secret movie and how she overcomed this situation by giving away money. Read below:

"A few years ago, I reached an all-time low with money in my life. I had several credit cards that I had charged up , my apartment was mortgaged to the limit, and my company was in debt for millions of dollars because I was making a film called The Secret. I think my situation with money was about as bad as anybody's can get. I wanted money to finish the film, I knew the law of attraction, and I knew I had to feel good about money to bring it to me. But it wasn't easy because every single day I was confronted by the mounting debt, with people calling for money, and had no idea how I would be able to pay my staff's wages. So I took drastic action.

I walked to an ATM and drew out several hundred dollars from my credit card account. I needed that money so badly to pay bills and buy food, but I took the money in my hand, walked down a busy street, and I gave the money away to people on the street.

I put a $50 bill in my hand, and as I walked, I looked at each person's face as they walked toward me, trying to decide who to give the money to. I wanted to give money to every single person, but I only had a certain amount. I let my heart choose and I gave the money away to all kinds of people. It was the first time in my life I had felt love for money. But it wasn't the money itself that caused me to feel love, it was giving the money to people that made me feel love for money. It was a Friday, and afterward I had tears of joy all weekend about how good it felt to give money.

On Monday afternoon something astounding happened: my bank account received $25,000 through th e most incredible sequence of events. That $25,000 literally fell out of the sky into my life and into my account. I had bought some shares in a friend's company years earlier, and I had forgotten about them because they had never increased in value. But that Monday morning I received a phone call asking me if I would sell my shares as they had skyrocketed in value, and by Monday afternoon the money for the shares was in my account.

I didn't set out to give money away to bring more money to me. I gave it away so I would feel love about money. I wanted to change a lifetime of feeling bad about money. If I had given away that money in order to get money, it would never have worked, because it would have meant I was motivated by feeling a lack of money, which is negative, instead of being motivated by love. But if you give money away, and if you feel love when you give it, most surely it will return to you. One man wrote a check and donated $100 to a charity he felt was really worthwhile. Within ten hours of writing the check, he closed the largest sale he had ever had in his company. "

YOU CAN HEAL OTHERS

YOU CAN HEAL OTHERS

(Story of a Deaf New Born, who got Healed by his Grandfather's Faith)

This story which I heard from my mom multiple times in my life has inspired me alot and has given boost to my
faith towards higher source of Energy and reminds me always that anything is possible in this world. As
this story has been passed from my Nana Ji (Grandfather) to my mother,
then to me. Which today I want to share with you. It starts with the article published in 70's in Kanpur's (India) popular news paper named Dainik Jaagran, which my Grandfather (Nana ji) shared with my mom and she
has been telling me many times during these years, which I composed in my
words as that article is not available anywhere now.

In a Sikh family born a child loved by everyone, he played with all, and everybody liked that beautiful baby, relatives gifted lots of toys, clothes and many beautiful gifts and he became everyone's Apple of Eye. As some time passed, beauty of baby grew more and more. But one day baby's family realized , that baby does not hear as they realized he did not respond to various sounds, all got worried that why the baby is not responsive to the sounds and voices and sounds of toys or if somebody calls him, he is sitting blank without any response. Ultimately, they got him checked by ENT specialist who diagnosed that baby is deaf since birth. It was like mountain fallen on the whole family after they heard this news. They got the baby checked with all the best doctors possible, if
something can be done to cure this problem, but everyone refused that there is no hope the baby could hear whole life. Family lost all hopes, but his Grandfather was a religious and pious person who had the true faith on One Universal Power and he did not loose faith.

Grandfather had a daily habit of reciting Path in the morning (Religious Daily Recitation of Lessons from Holy Books) and reciting Waheguru, Waheguru chanting after that, while walking in a Park during morning walk. From the very next day Grandfather started carrying the baby along with him in the park and started reciting Path and Waheguru Simran in baby's ears (WAHEGUROO WAHEGUROO WAHEGUROO slowly), with eyes closed and concentrating on his ears. He did this practice everyday and started waiting when baby would start hearing. He had complete faith on the Power of Babaji (God) that he would definitely heal his loving child and bless him with the gift of hearing. Days passed he continued to take him to park everyday and reciting Waheguru Simran and Path in baby's ears full of love and undying faith and happiness and imagining he would definitely hear one day, and gave thanks to God everyday for his healing. And one day the miracle happened and baby was responding to the voices and various sounds of various birds in the park and laughed when dog barked or somebody made any sound by the toys. It was like a new world opened to the baby as he enjoyed new sounds. It was the new wave of happiness for the family as well when they heard this news. Doctors were even surprised to see this miracle, ultimately they had to believe there is surely some power exist which is beyond the Science and everything.

MY MESSAGE TO ALL: Start Believing in Unseen. Miracles do happen and will keep on taking place. Do not loose your Faith. Anything is possible.
